Several bands have been added since the initial lineup was announced, including: Building 429, The Pat Little Band, Telefaire, former American Idol Brooke Barrettsmith, Anchordown, Cayerio and Dizmas.

The initial BIG news at the beginning of any new festival year is the announcement of the lineup. With over 50 artists and speakers appearing, the list of SWC performers is a virtual "who's who" in Christian music. 2008 headliners are newsboys, Third Day and tobyMac, with Kutless, Leeland, BarlowGirl and Hawk Nelson also on the 2008 team. We are very excited about Natalie Grant and Superchic[k] returning to SWC�s Main Stage after a few years of absence. The complete lineup, including the speakers, children performers and comedians, is still being assembled, so check back to the web site periodically for updates.

Spirit West Coast was just voted America's third favorite festival by Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) magazine's Reader's Choice Awards, most excellent considering there are about 20 festivals in the U.S. No doubt due to SWC's superior staging and production standards (3 Jumbotrons!) and the cool, coastal weather, most performers tell us that SWC is their absolute favorite festival to appear at.

The annual Southern California Spirit West Coast festival takes place at the Del Mar Fairgrounds (San Diego) on Memorial Day weekend. Most of the artists appearing at the Del Mar festival also appear in Monterey, but there are always some who appear just at one or the other. It�s common to find people who attend both festivals, and fans agree that the summer Monterey event is a very different experience from the Del Mar spring event. The festivals do have many core things in common � multiple stages, dozens of artists, great teaching, camping, children�s activities and ministry, all in a resort vacation area setting.
